Housed in the original cellar, the Boschendal
Restaurant serves delicious buffet-style lunches.
Heap your plate with expertly-prepared Cape/French
cuisine, steaming roasts, local seafood specialities,
imaginative salads and sinful dessert from tables
groaning with these tantalising treats, complemented
by fine Boschendal wines. Beautifully
restored and well-appointed, this is an ideal place
to settle back and savour the food, the ambience
and the company. The Manor house is a National Monument
and museum with fascinating artworks, Cecil Rhodes
memorabilia, furniture and displays.

During the summer months Boschendal’s Le Pique-Nique
area provides the ideal setting for an al fresco lunch of
pre-packed picnics served in wicker baskets. Tables and chairs
are set in the shade, under the lofty, fragrant pine trees
- perfect for a relaxed summer afternoon. Collect your basket
filled with pâtés, French bread, cold meats,
salads, and cheese and biscuits and relax and enjoy the warm
sun. To complete the meal, dessert and coffee are served
from the gazebo. The winelist offers the full range of Boschendal’s
finest wines to enjoy with your picnic and to enhance your "Boschendal
experience".

Nestled in the original slave
quarters of the Boschendal Manor House, Le Café has
the ideal setting in balmy summer months to enjoy anything
from the best home-made scones in the valley to garden-fresh
salads and baguettes topped with adventurous fillings.
In winter, when the menu changes its focus, tuck into wholesome,
heart-warming casseroles and traditional dishes. With a
glass of Boschendal's finest sparkling wine, in the dappled
shade of the ancient oak trees, celebrate South Africa's
sunny skies, or in winter relax indoors in the cosy atmosphere
of a log fire with a glass of fine red wine or a cup of
steamy hot chocolate.
